Open for business!
The wedding that launched us in 2015
2015 was a great year for us…it was the year that Karen and I finally got our start! We worked with some incredible families last year, met some new clients, and had a lot of laughs. Of all the shoots we did last year, the most challenging was by far the wedding we shot in Jackson, NH for Steph & George at the Snowflake Inn. It was challenging because, as you’re probably aware, so much goes into the planning and execution of a wedding from the smallest of details to large scale decisions. Shooting a wedding requires multiple styles of photography, from macro to portrait and landscape to action. Some of our favorite detail shots were the rings and the shoes.
With the details settled on and shot, we moved into the getting ready shots, which consisted of some candids and then some posted shots.
From the suite, we went downstairs and out to the lawn for the ceremony. It was an incredible day with loads of soft sunlight, thanks to plenty of cloud cover.
After a beautiful ceremony, we went right into formals which we shot in the gardens just behind the archway before moving down to Ellis River, and back inside for some indoor shots inside the Snowflake Inn.
Lastly, we headed out from the Inn and up to Jackson Falls for some shots IN the river!
Shooting this wedding for Steph & George was such an incredible experience that taught us so much about what we had to learn, and also gave us a lot of insight into the type of clients we wanted to work with (hint: just like these two). We’re so thankful to them for allowing us to travel with them for this adventure.
Thanks for stopping by!
Ian & Karen
